Continuation of the saga at bangkok.
DAY 1
At the waiting area i called my mum to tell her tt i was already in. And she asked me if i am going to have a seat (tt's coz budget airliner don't give u aggigned seats, u have to "chiong" for it). Well right after i put down the phone, the pple announced tt the plane is ready for boarding, then u really saw how kiasu s'poreans are. I know we are kiasu, but nv to this extend. aiyo, i was so ashamed, but yeat at the same time i was enjoying the whole experience. Then they said tt elderly n children hv pirority to go in 1st. So...this uncle exclaimed loudly, "60 yrs old considered elderly?" I wanted to laugh out loud, but had to tah han.
The poor air stewards had no proper seats, n they sat next to the toilet...so poor thing. Upon reaching bangkok, i saw tt the monks gave the light stewards some budddhist "tract", n i thot to myself, "shucks, i shld have brought the 4 spiritual laws tract n pass it to them too."
Took an airport bus to the train station near my hotel. I had to drag my noisy luggage along the thai streets(which i may say, r nt exactly very clean n proper like the side walks of s'pore). Then the guy tt was at the reception had a funny haier do n the rings on his fingers were like blinding me lah...n he looked quite gay. The room was suppose to be in the new tower, but it looked nothing like new. The whole place, including the room, look as thoughit was furnished in the 80s. But teh best thing abt it was tt it is very big. it could accomodate 3 single beds n still had space for the 3 of us to put our luggage very sparcely apart. So eerything wasn't tt bad.
As u wld have known, those who sat on a budget airline, tt there wasn't any food served on the plane, and if u didn't bring anything to eat, tt u can but some snacks frm them. So...by then we were all quite ready for dinner. walking along the streets, i was quite glad to have a pasar malam near my place. And like all pasar malam, there was the sale of fake dvds n vcds, n also the porn dvds n vcds. They were juz displayed openly n it was not like any tt s'pore wld hv. They had the bodies on women juz laid openly(nothing was covered!) I was so paiseh lah, so i quickny looked away. n this wasn't at juz 1 stall, but evey few steps tt u take, u see another 1 lah. So all i could do was to look down n look at where my legs r to step on.
Was quite tempted to braid my hair, but it was too expensive. I think the malaria pills r acting up, had a very wierd dream tt night.
