Being a person who is very relational, i am always into this thing called love. 1 favourite qn of mine is: r u interested in anyone right now?. Don't worry, tt is not my pick up line, n moreover i am attached. :) I just can't seem to get enuf of this topic. And today i am going to talk abt perfect love.
I am not a pro in love nor do i posess this thing called "perfect love". But i do know one person who has it...n that is God. Today as i was reading my QT material, i cam across these 2 words which i have heard so many times...perfect love. What exactly is perfect love, well...let me enlightn u on this .Pls turn with me to 1Chorinthians 13:4-8. If u don't have the bible, then below is what it says in NIV (new international version):
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
That (on the above) is what love is ment to be. not the lovey dovey stuff that the TV potrays. Loving someone takes more than juz saying the words"i love u". It must be in all tt u do. Being a loving person takes everything out of u. n if ever anyone tries to be the "perfect lover", tt person will never make it. Y? coz only God can do it! :) He is the perfector of love, n He demonstrated tt to us more than 2000yrs ago when He sent His son down to die on the cross for us. We will nv be able to master what it means to be perfect lover, but we know that when we know Jesus Christ, He will transform us to be more like Him (the perfect lover). We may never be a perfect lover, but we have one for ourselves, tt's Jesus Christ.
