DONUTS...yum
today i went for a run wif ben after visiting michele wif addie n the kids to look at her new dog n addie's auzzie photos. wld have loved to run more but my heart n lungs couldn't take it anymore, so today i only ran 2.8km on the treadmill. will do better the next time.
Aniwae, tt wasn't why i wanted to blog today. ben said tt he wanted to line up for the donut factory's donuts today, n so we went there after the run. the thought of the donuts made my mouth water...slurrrp. :) i remember the 1st time i ate them was wen tiffy painstakingly lined up for a really long time to buy n let us try (and to think tt the rest ofus went on to do our shopping w/o her...shame on us). well today after the run, my legs were killing me. they were rather quite sore. so i thought maybe it wouldn't take so long to get to the counter, eventhough the line was as long as a snake.
so being the typical bro n sis duo, we started chatting n making fun of each other. then this pair of ladies queued up behind us and they were quite wieard. they had a small stoll wif them n they took turns to stand in the queue(they look like vetrans).
Suddenly, this well dressed man came up to us and asked, What are you queuing for?
Donuts!, we said unanamously.
Really very nice meh? the man inquired.
Yah, we both answered him.
Their donuts are very soft, i added.
he sniggered at us n shook his head. abt 1 hr later after i decided to take a walk and on my way back, i saw tt the man tt came up to us to ask waht we were queuing for joined the queue. told ben abt it when i saw him n when ben looked back, that man was gone. i guess he didn't have the time to wait so long for donuts.
Well, all in all, we waitted for 2and a half hours befor we were served. why? u might be asking. coz there were pple who could "cut the queue", by calling in advance for their order. so next time i will be the smarter consumer by ordering 1st b4 i go down to collect my DONUTS!!!!
My legs are even more sore now, but i am looking fwd to the run tt i will do wif wendy, steffi n gra on sunday! :)
