BACK FROM CAMP...
yup, i am back from church camp. had to work on a previous Public Holiday to trade it for a day of work to go for camp.
I must say tt it was a gd camp. eventhough not much of what the speaker spoke abt went into my head, i was definately much more glad to have had the opportunity to catch up wif pple. as you know, the roster monster can't be bothered abt the shift tt she puts you in, so i haven't been able to go to church on sunday for quite a while. well, unfair as it may seem...tt is the reality of work life.
So, i managed to catch up wif gra(my room mate for the camp), my 2 lovely gals (steffi n minyi), plus wendy(my one and only mentor) and more imptly GOD. didn't even write much encouragemnts cards for pple. was glad to have bonded wif my whole gp, PEACE 1, during team building games with 12 stations! and also bowling. we had a fantastic cheer...

haha...tt was super fun, plus it gave me a horse voice after tt. :)
I think tt ever since i decided to do something abt exercising, it has made me more garang to try things. Like the team building games tt we had. image is no longer an issue when you feel comfortable in your own skin(plus also what u wear). got a bruise abt the size of my thumb tt is staring at the world from my calf...ouch! did 2 hrs of swim plus a 20min jog around the camp site wif tiffy n gra, my whole body is aching right now, arms, back, butt, thighs and calf. feel super fit now...yea!
First aid was not assigned to me for this camp. but somehow, caring for others juz come naturally(esp when they fall ill). it seem quite nice to be able to "give away" my first aid kit, but pple will still come up to me to ask for medication and help for injuries.....well....tt's coz everyone knows tt i am a nurse. at the end of day 2, i told CK tt i think it will be better tt i hold on to the first aid kit...too much hassel to be telling someone else to look for the kit or what to do with it. i'd rather do it myself.
Slowing myself down, i could hear God's still small voice. was feeling rather sian in the begining of the camp, but through it, i found new meaning in doing the things tt i love the most...investing in the lives of others.
